Tisbury 1949 Legion Pumper

1949 American LaFrance Series 700 Pumper
500 gpm

Served as the American Legion Pumper (M-15) in Tisbury (Vineyard Haven)
from 1949 until replaced in 1974 by a Ford / Maynard Pumper (25 years).
The LaFrance was sold to a private owner and on July 19, 1975 was purchased by
the members of the Centerville-Osterville Fire Department as a Muster Truck
utilized for many years by C&O Volunteers and COMM Fire Department.

Exactly 42 years later, on July 19. 2017, ownership of the 1949 American LaFrance
was returned to Tisbury and the old truck returned home to once again represent
the Legion Company of the Tisbury Fire Department.
